A Message from the Financial Aid Office

UBC offers various types of financial aid, including governmental and institutional aid. Additionally, students often receive aid from their high school or various community and civic organizations. Depending on the award, aid may be used for such expenses as tuition, fees, room, board, books, supplies, and transportation.
In light of current economic pressures felt by many families, UBC is doing all that is possible to make a Christ-centered, quality education available for any student. Whether you feel a call to full time Christian ministry or you feel led to attend a Christian college for a year or two in preparation for further training, UBC can be the place for you!
Directions for Financial Aid
You first file a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) which can be filed on line at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Have the following information on hand:
Student and parent/legal guardian FSA IDs
Federal Tax Return or other income documentation
Social Security number(s)
Driver’s license (if any)
Tax information for student and parent/legal guardians(s)
Untaxed income record, such as child support received and veterans non-educational benefits. Most parents/legal guardians/students will upload their tax information using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool via FAFSA.
Current information on checking and savings account balances;stock, bond, and other investments; and business and farm assets
Alien registration card (if student is not a U.S. citizen)
Next Use code Federal School Code 042500 as our school code. You will receive a copy of the estimated amount of your Pell Grant, as will the school. We will then put together a financial aid package as follows:
Based on your FAFSA, you may be eligible for up to a $5,645 Pell Grant, tax free for the school year.
In addition, you may be entitled to one or more of the following

High School Valedictorian Scholarship
High School Salutatorian Scholarship
10% discount on tuition, room and board, if at least one parent is in full time Christian work.

If your school bill is not covered by a combination of other student aid, then based on the information on your FAFSA, you may be eligible for an additional UBC scholarship toward any remaining balance. Institutional aid can be used only for tuition. Amounts are determined after federal and state grants have been considered. A student may receive institutional aid from only one non-endowed program.

Federal Net Price Calculator
We are pleased to provide you with this tool to aid in early financial planning for college. The Federal Net Price Calculator is intended for U.S. citizens, eligible non-citizens, and permanent residents who plan on pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree. It provides estimates only. Actual financial aid awards may vary depending upon institutional policy changes, official academic and standardized testing information, and verified family financial information.
While not an official application for financial aid, the calculator enables prospective students and their families to determine an estimated net cost of attendance at Union Bible College. It asks only for household size, number in college, and total household income, and does not include some of the information normally requested in our financial aid application. The results do not represent a final determination or an actual award of financial aid or final net price.
